Q: How secure is a Jeep? What about an alarm?

A: I have a Ravelco installed in my Jeep (that's my TJ in the install pictures section). I like it because it is simple and I am not worried about it being stolen (unless towed away). Others get alarms that have motion sensors and paging systems. I personally find those annoying. Many have Tuffy consoles, glove boxes, and other products. Best advice, don't leave anything in your Jeep you don't mind being taken (especially soft top models). I leave my Jeep unlocked and nothing of value inside. I can say I have yet (knock on wood) to have anything stolen, because there is nothing inside it to steal. Yes, there have been a few times when I can tell people have been in there, but nothing was destroyed or broken. Hard tops with full doors are more secure, so things are a little different for them.
